The Story

The Iron Baron - a terrifying tyrant of rust and steam - has arrived. His mission is simple: to consume the natural world and replace it with a factory of smoke and steel. He is hunting for the Blue Iron Rose, an ancient power source that will fuel his mechanical army forever.
Standing in his way? No armies. No magic wizards. Just seven children.
Meet The Trakkie Fam. Led by Dom, an aspiring knight with a wooden sword, and Stazia, an artist whose paintings come to life, this group of friends must navigate the hidden tunnels of Trakošćan Castle to find the legendary Velvet Crown before the Baron destroys their home.

A Note from the Author
Welcome to the Green Forest.
I wrote The Mystery of the Velvet Crown because I believe
adventure has no expiration date.
But there was another reason. Looking at the stories and
illustrations available today, I often felt a disconnect. So many
visuals felt distant, strange, or abstract. I wanted to create
something different - a world that captures your heart the
moment you see it.
I wanted to create characters that you fall in love with at "first
sight."
That is why this project is more than just a book. It is the
foundation of a future animated movie, designed to be
cinematic, beautiful, and alive.
In a world that is becoming increasingly artificial, I wanted to
remind us of our greatest superpower: being human. This
story is a celebration of human skills and raw emotions. It is
about the unbeatable strength found in unity, love, respect,
and friendship. It is about facing the "Iron Barons" of our
lives not with magic, but with our humanity.
The setting of this tale - Trakošćan Castle - is not a fantasy.
I
t is a real, breathtaking jewel that stands today in Croatia,
looking just as majestic now as it does in these pages. I invite
you to visit it one day and feel the history for yourself.
Whether you are ten years old or one hundred, I built this
world for you to lose yourself in.
